Ranchi: Virat Kohli scores his 41st ODI hundred in today’s match against Australia at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi and now has the most hundreds in India-Australia ODIs in India. The record was previously held by Sachin Tendulkar. This was his 8th ODI hundred against Australia and third of 2019 – incidentally, all his hundreds have come against the Aussies.
Kohli had scored a match-winning hundred in Nagpur on Tuesday. This one was scored in more challenging conditions as India had slipped into trouble chasing 314.
This is Kohli’s 19th hundred as India captain. When he reached 27, Kohli became the fourth Indian captain to score 4000 ODI runs after Mohammad Azharuddin, Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni.
Kohli is second in the list of century-scorers in one-day cricket. The list is headed by Sachin Tendulkar. (Agencies)
