Flight operations were suspended on Thursday at the Srinagar airport due to poor visibility and heavy snowfall.
“Due to bad weather and heavy snowfall at Srinagar Airport all flights are cancelled for today,” the airport authorities announced on Twitter.
An official said snow clearance on the runway was getting hampered by continuing snowfall.
The Jammu-Srinagar highway remained closed for the second consecutive day on Thursday due to fresh snowfall and landslides.
Plains in Kashmir valley, including capital Srinagar, are experiencing the heaviest snowfall of the season.
