Sehrai, Malik visit slain Hurriyat activist’s home in Sopore

Sopore: Hurriyat Chairman Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Monday visited Bomai village here to express solidarity with the slain Hurriyat activist bereaved family.

The Hurriyat activist Hakeem-Ur-Rehman, 45, resident of Bomai village & a member of Hurriyat (G) was shot dead by some unknown gunmen two days back at his village.

Besides large gathering of people, many other Hurriyat members including district president Baramulla Abu Hamza were also present there.

While speaking on this occasion, Yasin Malik recalled that how elections are used against our resistance struggle, we cast our votes on the basis of which political party has done less oppression on us but India uses our vote against us and announces that Kashmiri’s has cast vote in favour of the constitution of India.

“Why at the first place we have to take part in elections, let them do whatever they want to, we should boycott elections” Malik said.

District Baramulla president, Abu Hamza said that Hakeem-Ur-Rehman sacrificed his life for this Kashmir struggle for freedom, so his sacrifice should be taken to logical end and we as a society should come forward and take care of his family which includes five unmarried daughters.


Ashraf Sehrai TeH chairman speaking on this occasion said that Hakeem-Ur-Rehman was a religious and resistance loving person and he always choose to live his life on religious lines, so we should also do the same.

“Our freedom struggle will not get weak by these killings and all by the agents of Indian agencies, we will fight and will take our struggle to its logical end”, Sehrai added.
