Ram Madhav slams Farooq Abdullah over poll boycott

Srinagar: National General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ram Madhav on Sunday slammed former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah for boycotting upcoming Panchayat and local bodies’ polls in the state.

“If Farooq Abdullah is objecting to Panchayat polls over 35-A issue, then why did he contest Kargil polls?” Madhav asked.

The senior BJP leader said that the former Chief Minister always played politics and never made efforts to ensure democratic rights of the people.

“Now when Modi Ji is trying to do so, he is speaking against it,” he added.
