PRESS RELEASE

A meeting attended by Executive Body member of All J&K Employees Union (MCW) Geology & Mining Department was held where in the issues related to the recruitment policy framed for Mineral Guards, Mineral Supervisors and other employees of the Department was discussed. It was observed that most employees of the different sections in the department especially mining wing have been deprived of from their rights to get next higher promotion/grade which is totally against the employees effected as well as against the recent Hon’ble High Court directions wherein clear directions have been passed by the Hon’ble High Court to resolve the issues relating to promotions , transfers and other matters of the employees. The union unanimously requests the worthy Director of Geology & Mining Department to take necessary steps for removal of stagnation to the effected employees, for regularisation of all part time safiawalla/daily Wagers & casual labours of department of Geology & Mining from Jammu as well as Kashmir.

“We are proud to be having such worthy Director Geology & Mining Department Mr. Farooq Ahmad Khan who has always struggled for the betterment of the department as well as employees
working under his kind control from both regions of J&K but the burning issues of employees of some particular sections have not been brought into his notice for redressal said President of Union Mr. Bashir Ahmad Mir”.

The Worthy Director is requested to look into the issues especially recruitment rule policy, removal of stagnation to the effected employees , regularisation of part time sweepers, Daily Wagers, and casual labours of the department and take a decision on charter of demands already submitted by the union.

The Worthy Director Geology & Mining is requested not to entertain any letter /request submitted by any other person/union for redressal of issues to the employees of MOW, as the J&K
Employees Union MCW does not own any other union of this department if exists.
