Forces cordon Sumlar in north Kashmir’s Bandipora, launch search operation

Srinagar: Government forces Friday cordon Gujjarpati area of Sumlar in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district and launched a search operation.

Official sources told Kashmir Reader that Army’s 14 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police launched the operation in the village after inputs about the presence of militants in the area.

The searches were going on when this report was being filed.

Earlier, a CASO was also launched at Gulshan Mohalla Sadonara in the Bandipora district which ended later. Reports said that minor stone pelting was witnessed when the forces were leaving from the spot.
