CRPF trooper injured in militant attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama
Pulwama: A CRPF trooper on Tuesday was injured in a militant attack in Newa area of this south Kashmir district.
Around 12:45 am today, militants lobbed a grenade and opened a volley of fire towards the joint camp of special operations group (SOG) of police and CRPF in Newa here, official sources told Kashmir Reader today.
A CRPF trooper, the official sources said was wounded after being hit by a bullet. He was shifted to army’s Badamibagh cantonment hospital in the capital city of Srinagar for treatment.
Soon after the attack, government forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to nab the militants
