Cops crack theft case, recover stolen mobile phones worth over Rs 1 lakh
Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday claimed it has cracked a theft case registered at police station Bishnah by arresting the accused and recovering from his possession stolen mobile phones worth over Rs 1 lakh.
As per police, a theft case vide FIR number 211/2018 under sections 457/380 of RPC was registered at police station Bishnah on October 12, 2018 on the basis of a written complaint lodged by one Surinder Kumar son of Gurdas Kundal of ward number 4, Bishnah regarding theft at his shop.
Police said that on the basis of technical and other evidences, a notorious burglar of the area was arrested, who, during the course of investigation, admitted his involvement in the theft and on his disclosure, the stolen electronic gadgets worth over Rs 1 lakh were recovered.
The recovery and arrest was made by a police team headed by SHO police station Bishnah, inspector Rajesh Sharma and incharge officer in the case, SI Ankush Kumar
