AIP supremo, senior politician and veteran cricketer, Sheikh Ghulam Ahmad Saloora attended the final and post match presentation ceremony as Chief Guest and distributed trophies, prizes and cash rewards among the winner, runner-up and other deserving players.
Addressing large gathering of spectators present in Eidgah, Sheikh Saloora expressed concern over the unemployment of Ganderbal youth due to the false policies of the previous Government. Saloora said that over 400 vacancies of teachers were filled in the district but it was unfortunate to see that less than 90 posts were given to Ganderbal residents whereas more than 75‰ vacancies were filled up by the candidates belonging to other far off districts including Jammu Division. He appealed government to disengage such employees from district Ganderbal and engage them to their respective districts quota. This will make a way to get Ganderbal people to get job opportunities.
Saloora while thrusting on to sports said that sports is the best way to develop a strong body and sound mind in youth. He said sports a person away from all evils like drug addiction, crime or unlawful activities. He assured youth that he’ll provide full assistance to the development of sports in the region.
