A major fire broke out in a Mumbai high rise on Tuesday afternoon where Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar own a flat. The fire broke out on the 13th floor of La Mer building located at Bandra West. Around eight fire-tenders were called at the spot to bring the fire in control. It took the fire brigade 45 minutes to get the situation under control, with no casualty reported so far.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s parents own a flat on the 12th floor of the same building and the actress herself used to live there before her marriage. When the news about the fire broke, the actress and husband Abhishek Bachchan rushed to the venue to ensure that the situation is brought under control asap.
The actress also broke down thinking about the worse that could have happened and heaving a sign of relief that the incident didn’t turn into an unfortunate event. Her mother still stays on the 12th floor flat and it is only natural for Ash to be worried about her mother’s safety. She made a panicked rush to the building but like always, had husband Abhishek playing her rock of Gibraltar.
Sachin Tendulkar too owns the 10th and 11th floor in La Mer and his mother in law was seen discussing the scenario with Ash and Abhishek. See pics below:
